We had earlier cut back scrub on the bank but the path was still untidy with lots of growth between the edging and the path. We cleared most of that and knocked back some regrowth on the bank. February 28th Brockhampton Stream Path.
We cleared an area of the path edge back to make the stream accessible over a bit of its length and also removed two oil drums that have littered the stream for ages. January 31st Path Clearance
We cleared the vegetation along the shore-line path between the Eastern Road roundabout and the entrance to Farlington Marshes to about 1m back from the edge. This may keep the path clear through the summer. Click here to find information on future work parties.
IS YOUR VOICE HEARD? The Friends of Langstone Harbour are represented on the Advisory Committee for the Harbour, we initially had an Observer role but are now full voting participants - this shows the high respect our organisation has gained within the Harbour in a relatively short time.The Advisory Committee to the Langstone Harbour Board are keen to make sure that anyone interested in the Harbour has a chance to put their views or ask questions. They have established two working groups one Environmental, one Maritime, which members of the public are welcome to attend. Points raised in the working groups are then passed on to the Advisory Committee for action.
